Hello and welcome all to day 1 of THE SHINY PENNY CHALLENGE.
Let me begin by introducing myself and explaining what this challenge is about (best place to start I suppose lol).
My name is Darren and I am 35 yrs old living in Llanelli, South Wales, self employed and live with my wife Gail, son Stephen and two dogs Taz and Sasha.
I woke up this morning and for some reason I remembered a challenge I took part in last year called The Paper Clip Challenge where a guy started off with a paper clip and swapped his way up to a house, massive challenge. Anyway I started thinking and thought what a brilliant idea if you really have not got the cash to buy something.
My challenge is to swap a Shiny Penny and continue swapping items until I eventually get two Vespa's, one for me and one for my wife (his and hers lol) as I have always been a big fan of the scooter scene.
For every item I swap I will be contacting local media so this is also an opportunity for people/businesses to be recognised in their local paper,on local radio etc. I will also be taking/publishing pictures along the way.

Check out Two Red Paperclips (.com) without the spaces and stuff. I don't fancy the penny but if you get something cooler I may be up for a swap.
